Botanical Illustration Workshop, 14 March 2024: The Biodiversity Museum hosted both an art class and a visitor to the SDSU Art Department, Brazilian artist Sergio Allevato.

Sergio led the “Botanical Illustration Workshop,” in which art and Biology students (of Dr. Flores-Rentería‘s Plant Systematics class) interacted in drawing plant subjects.

Following this workshop, the students were given a tour of the SDSU Herbarium. It was quite interesting to have art and science students synergistically working together, each gaining insights from the other.
